EZ Valve Insertion

EZ Valve Insertion is a process whereby most types of pressurized water/sewer lines are able to have a new valve installed without any interruption in service. The EZ Valve is state-of-the-art technology that upon completion of excavation and cleaning of the pipe enables a valve to be placed into an existing line in approximately two hours. The EZ Valve makes line stops and freeze plugs obsolete.

Line Stopping

Temporary Line Stopping is the process by which Blue Water Construction Services, Inc., temporarily stops the flow of water in order for the customer to complete their work. Blue Water uses its EZ2 system to do line stops. This system allows Blue Water to install a line stop within two hours; thus, providing the customer with more time for completing their work. This process also allows Blue Water to remove the bonnet after completion of your work.

As long as we only have one mobilization to install the line stop and one mobilization to remove the bonnet, there are no additional charges when leaving the line stop in place for multiple days. While the EZ2 Line Stop is in place, the customer is able to use the line stop as a temporary gate valve. The EZ2 Line Stop provides the customer with more options when scheduling the job. Currently, we are able to install 4" through 12" line stops with the EZ2 system.

Wet/Hot Tapping

Blue Water Construction Services, Inc., has the ability to do wet/hot taps from ¾” to 12” on any size pipe. Wet/Hot Tapping lets the customer create a lateral for a new job without any interruption in service. Blue Water’s goal is to perform a tap with as little interruption to your work day as possible. Blue Water brings all necessary tools; and if the customer would prefer, we will even supply the tapping sleeve and valve.

We use a small crane truck to lower all materials and equipment into the trench, so no machines or labor is required from the customer once the trench is excavated. Blue Water’s goal is to service you, the customer in the most efficient way possible.

Leak Detecting

Using the newest equipment in Leak Detection, Blue Water offers a service to find a leak in any system on any type of pipe. With the Sound Sens i, Blue Water can find a leak between any two areas of exposed pipe. Once the general location is established with the sound sens i, Blue Water’s trained professionals will use another piece of equipment called the X-Mic to verify the leaks location.

System Monitoring

System Monitoring can also be performed with the Sound Sens i. The system allows Blue Water to program the loggers to take readings at any time for a certain amount of time. These loggers are then retrieved and the information is downloaded into a program which identifies any abnormalities in the targeted area of the system. Offering this service could save water system owners from costly leaks that are not appearing above ground.

Service Tapping

Service Tapping is offered to site-work contractors on a per-tap basis; this service will let a contractor know exactly how much each tap will cost. It also removes the contractors’ headaches created by breaks in their equipment and the need to constantly sharpen bits. We are very efficient and conscientious when tapping into your new pipelines.
